Future Leadership Foundation exists to produce better leaders through global partnerships.
This newsletter has a bit different look, as we report our involvement by country. While some nations will be more than others, it should be easier to visualize our work.
Use this newsletter to be informed and involved about FLF ministries, even when you use the Internet. To subscribe, e-mail newsletter@flfmissions.org .

Russian Federation |
Moscow Seminary is growing at an exciting rate, now with over 500
students in five teaching locations spanning eleven time zones and led by Dr. Peter Mitskevich (right). Due to economic and leadership issues this seminary has moved almost exclusively to
distance and part-time curriculum.
Russian Leadership Ministries
, based in Wheaton, Ill. led by executive director Ted Rodgers, prepares leaders for Russian churches.
In May, a Future Leadership Foundation team (John Jackson, secretary of the FLF
Board, and Dick Ward from, Toledo, Ohio), explored how FLF can partner with Moscow Seminary and RLM. For example, new programs projected for the seminary include evangelism/church planting; helping church leaders relate to the government and starting two regional centers.

Baptists in Missouri have been captivated for over a decade by the needs of a children's camp near Kobrin combining fun and medical care for more than 30,000 children since it opened in 1995. FLF is involved in the overall camp's ministry, also home to the House of Mercy for senior care.
Many attending the Kobrin Healthcare Camp (or Zhemchuzhinka) also become Christians during their time there. This year the camp has expenses of $197,640 while ministering to five camps for children and youth, one specifically for terminally ill children affected by radiation from Chernobyl.
Needs include funds for supplies, vehicle repair and facilities. For more information contact the Missouri Baptist Foundation, 800-776-0747 or e-mail ldarity@mbfn.org .

|
Ukraine has 3,000 Baptist churches with 150,000 members.
Leadership retreat
Twenty-five senior pastors and spouses will gather for a week-long Ukrainian Leadership Retreat, November 16-20, at the Skole Retreat Center in
western Ukraine.

regional pastor and spouses track are Human Resources Director for
the Missouri Baptist Children's Home, Becky Berry along with Pam Sneed, clinical laboratory scientist at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, Missouri.
Pastors will work to design personal strategic and implementation plans to reach their communities for Christ.
Seminary training
The Ukrainian Baptist
Theological Seminary at Borislav in far western Ukraine is unique. After being a member of the Soviet Union for nearly 70 years, it is the only seminary entirely using the Ukraine language.
The Future Leadership Foundation has
been invited to train students this November. Strategic needs identified by President Dr. Ivan Romanyuk's office are stewardship development (through Crown Financial Ministries) and all-age Sunday School work in an Eastern
European environment.
Emerson Swope, discipleship point person at Forest Park Baptist Church,
Joplin, Mo. will be teaching. He has served as a trainer in Lithuania, Belarus and Ukraine.
Vehicle needed
Slavik Pyzh, current academic dean at the Ukrainian Baptist Theological
Seminary, is entering the Ph.D.
program at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary to prepare him to become
president of the Ukrainian seminary upon graduation in 2011.
The Future Leadership
Foundation invites you to consider a non-cash gift of a vehicle for a
Ukrainian family. They need a multi-use family vehicle with
seating for 7-8, either a Ford, Chevy, Toyota, or Honda product. They also need a smaller car for around-town
use, transporting four kids to school, etc. The vehicles must be in very good shape with less than 150,000
miles.
First Baptist Church, Ellisville, Mo., will help handle details and IRS documentation. Contact Mike Murray at 636.451.2254 (home) or 314.605.4840 (cell).

Moldova
|
As a result of the needs assessment during the May trip to the Russian Federation (see above), Moldovan leaders have proposed an annual fall vision retreat for Moldovan pastors as well as a spring music conference.
Please be in prayer as we evaluate each of these needs -- and more -- to determine how we can best work with leaders in providing their leadership and ministry needs.

How can we better tell our story? This spring a
communications task force (right) with experience in marketing, publishing, design and writing met to evaluate FLF communication and publicity pieces. FLF deeply appreciates their contribution of time and expertise to our work. An immediate result of their recommendations is revamping our Web site to be more user-friendly. Visit and share you comments.

Prayer points
|
Prayer is where we start, not what we resort to. We invite you to support FLF
by praying for:
§ the final weeks of the Baptist Union
president, Valeriu Ghlietchi, and his wife Marina, as he becomes a member of the
Moldovan Parliament. The country is experiencing unrest following recent
elections.
§ Give thanks for FLF President Phil Hunt as he
recovers from successful kidney transplant surgery. His daughter Tiffani was
the donor. Both are doing well.
Find further information and additional prayer requests on the FLF Prayer Request page.
